Studio Miammmiam’s screen prints are the result of meticulous research into form, texture and colour, playing with transparencies and layers. All the designs (one stencil per colour) are created by hand, using a brush and ink or a pencil. They are then hand-printed by the artist herself. Her world features a colourful bestiary, imbued with both lightness and power, tinged with humour yet permeated by more symbolic themes: global warming, divisions between peoples and multiculturalism, the intrusion of the wild into the urban environment…
The drawings, with their fluid lines, alternate between sensuality and morbid fascination, creating a bittersweet fantasy world inhabited by cute creatures and mysterious beasts. Here are a few limited-edition screen-print series. Would you like to collaborate or showcase my prints in your gallery? Please get in touch!!
At the bottom of the page, you will find a non-exhaustive catalogue of my limited-edition screen-printed series.

Work process:
I spend a lot of time seeking inspiration in the natural world, but also sketching extensively in my studio.

After creating a line drawing for the final composition, I draw the stencils using black ink or graphite. Anything that blocks the light can be used to create the textures and lines of the work. I draw one stencil for each colour to be printed.

I then prepare the screens, apply photosensitive emulsion, and expose them using the stencils. The screens then function as very precise stencils.

I then print each layer of colour one after the other.

All that remains is for me to sign the screen prints!!
